Milan cuts ribbon on first new park in 50 years

MILAN, Tenn. — The City of Milan is celebrating a new addition to the community.

City officials held a ribbon cutting for McKellar Park – Milan’s first new park in 50 years.

Located at 4039 Patton Street, Mayor BW Beasley says the park is intended as a space for connection, activity, and memories for generations to come.

McKellar Park currently features a walking trail, with plans to implement basketball courts, a skate park, pickleball courts, and a playground in the near future.

The park’s opening was made possible by a state grant that allowed the City to complete the first phase of the project.
