Rhodes Family Diner brings family, friends together for Thanksgiving
MEDINA, Tenn. — The Rhodes Family Diner continues their Medina tradition of being open on Thanksgiving.
Lots of regulars show up as well as people from all over the area.
Customers enjoy a big platter of food like turkey, dressing, sweet potato casserole, green beans, corn and pumpkin pie. The goal is to give back to the community and allow guests to visit with family without worrying about cooking or cleaning. This year’s dinner comes just after reopening following a fire back in October.
Owner Sam Rhodes shares that being open for this holiday was a main priority when meeting with the restoration company.
“From the first meeting, I said ‘We have to be open for Thanksgiving.’ Too many people depend on us and it is one of our biggest days of the year so they promised me on the first day we would be open and they got us open a week before thanksgiving,” said Rhodes.
Rhodes Family Diner is located at 201 South Main Street in Medina and will be open until 8 p.m.
