“We were able to take him into custody without incident. If I’m correct, this morning, he was arraigned for those charges that were presented to the judge this morning,” said Deputy Chief for Jackson Police Department, Derick Tisdale.

Perry was indeed arraigned Thursday morning in Jackson City Court. He is facing 15 felony charges. Those include 1 count of felony murder, 7 counts of employing a firearm during commission of a dangerous felony, 6 counts of first degree attempted murder, and 1 count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

“He’s being held at the criminal justice complex for the time being. They will take a look at the information and determine whether or not he will get a bond. But considering the seriousness of that crime, potentially he may or may not get a bond, or it may be extremely high,” said Deputy Chief Tisdale.

The Jackson Police Department was able to locate Perry because of anonymous tips they received. Deputy Chief Tisdale talks about how important these can be.

“It takes a collaborative effort for the officers of the Jackson Police Department to do what they do and keep this community safe. We’re not able to do what we do without information that comes from an anonymous tipster like the one we got yesterday, or a witness that may have seen something,” said Deputy Chief Tisdale.

19-year-old Tarcus Wilkes is still at large. If you have any information, you can contact the Jackson Police Department at 731-425-8400. You can also call Crime Stoppers at 731-424-8477.
