Manhunt ends in arrest following burglary, assault
UPDATE: The Sheriff’s Department confirms Burleson has been taken into custody.
PREVIOUS STORY FROM THE CROCKETT COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT:
SUSPECT ON THE RUN AFTER BURGLARY AND ASSAULT
Patrick Burleson, 39 year old white male, who is out of jail with an ankle monitor, is on the run after breaking into a home and assaulting the victim with a baseball bat.
Burleson has long history of crime. He should be considered violent and dangerous.
We have multiple law enforcement teams and multiple resources helping with the manhunt to apprehend this career criminal.
If you see Burleson, do not approach. Call 911 and report the sighting with location information. If you live in the Gadsden area, please take the keys out of your vehicle and lock the doors.
Our thoughts are with the victim and we hope for a full recovery.
This is an ongoing investigation and it is cold outside in this manhunt, but we will not stop until Burleson is in custody.
