Woman faces several charges following fatal wreck on Windy City Road

Update: Windy City Road Crash
On Sunday 8/04/24 at 7:00 P.M., officers of the Jackson Police Department responded to the intersection of Windy City Road and McClellan Road where they encountered a deadly crash involving two vehicles. A twenty-two-year-old male and a twenty-one-year-old female were pronounced deceased at the scene. The sole survivor in the same vehicle, a seventeen-year-old female, was extricated and flown to Regional One in Memphis. The driver of the other vehicle was transported to a local hospital, was treated for her injuries, and was then taken into custody.

After a thorough investigation by the Jackson Police Department’s Traffic Unit, all evidence and findings were presented to the District Attorney’s office. On 12/02/24, an empaneled Madison County Grand Jury indicted Katrina Michelle Salmons of Bells, TN for her involvement in the deaths of Connor Alexander White and Aaliyah Alexandra Ayala.
Salmons has been charged with two counts of Vehicular Homicide, one count of Vehicular Assault, two counts of DUI, one count of Reckless Driving, one count of Speeding, one count of Disobeying a Stop Sign, one count of Driving on a Suspended/Revoked/ Canceled License, one count of Violation of Open Container Law, one count of Possession of a Legend Drug, one count of Violation of Seat Belt law, and one count of Violation of Financial Responsibility Law.
