Jackson Ballet Arts prepares for ‘The Nutcracker’ performance

JACKSON, Tenn. — A local production is back ready to tell one of the most iconic holiday stories.

Ballet Arts will be performing “The Nutcracker” this weekend at the Carl Perkins Civic Center in Downtown Jackson. The show will run from December 13th thought the 15th.

This will be the programs 43rd time performing the holiday favorite which makes this the longest running production of the ballet in Tennessee.  Ballet Arts goal is to enrich the community through classical ballet.

“I love performing and getting to show off what we’ve worked for this whole season so,” said Olivia Grantham, Dew Drop Performer.

“I think you guys should come see it even if you’ve never seen a ballet, I think this is a great start. It gets you in the Christmas spirit and over all it’s a very fun and happy thing to come see,” said Makenzi Winter, Clara Performer.
