WBBJ 7 Forecast Update:

After a quiet mild day on Friday, changes are coming for the weekend. Rain showers will move in late in the afternoon and continue into the evening hours. A few very weak storms may try to mix in with the rain showers but we are not expecting anything overly concerning this weekend. THIS WEEK:

Mostly sunny skies returned on Thursday but with the light winds, we only warmed back up into the low 50s. As the day went on, the winds will picked up speed and shifted to the southeast, they will stuck around and tried to warm us back up a bit more on Friday. Thursday night lows dropped down into the to mid 30s. Friday highs were back up into the mid to upper 50s and Friday night lows will dip down to the low 40s. Expect a mix of sun and clouds on Friday but thicker cloud cover this weekend.

THE WEEKEND:

The next system is on the way this weekend and will bring another round of rain showers and maybe some storms trying to mix in on Saturday. Highs on Saturday will reach the mid to upper 50s before the low pressure system and cold front pass by. Expect a mostly cloudy day on Saturday, but a bit humid as well due to the southerly winds. The next front will pass later in the weekend but it will not be cooling us down much as the weekend front looks to come more in from the west instead of straight in from the north.

Highs on Sunday will also reach the upper 50s to near 60° and Sunday night lows will fall down to around 50°, warmer than Saturday night’s lows due to the clouds and humidity. The winds will vary in direction late in the weekend and the low pressure system before turning back to the southwest on Monday, beginning another warm up across the Mid South leading to a chance for storms. There could be a round of severe weather returning to the Mid South for the first time in awhile on Monday. We will be watching it closely as it could bring very strong storms to some of us Monday evening.
