Elks Lodge #192 delivers holiday baskets
JACKSON, Tenn.—One local organization delivers good tidings to those in need. Elks Lodge #192 continues to spread joy this holiday season.
Members and volunteers from the Elks Lodge #192 were out this morning delivering Christmas baskets to the needy. The organization joins together each year to both pack and deliver the charitable baskets.
The group gathers to pack the baskets with various food items for the holiday like canned goods of vegetables, ravioli, crackers, stuffing, and other items needed to create a holiday meal. The organization packed over 200 baskets this year to support families in need.
“Last night we set up an assembly line at our lodge and put all these together. We loaded them on the truck and this morning, we were out distributing. Distributing the boxes to those people,” said O. Wayne Woods, Exhalted Ruler, Elks Lodge #192.
This is an annual charitable event held by the lodge to give back to the local community.
Elk’s Lodge #192 is located at 28 Executive Drive in Jackson.
