ALUKO Group to locate first U.S. manufacturing facility in Madison County

JACKSON, Tenn. — One company from around the world plans to build a new facility here in the Hub City.

Governor Bill Lee, Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter and ALUKO group officials announced earlier Tuesday that ALUKO has selected Jackson, Tennessee for its first U.S. manufacturing facility.

The South Korean-based company is set to manufacture aluminum battery casings for Ford’s BlueOval City. The project will create 55 new jobs in Madison County and represents an investment of $36.3 million.

“A lot of companies look for raw land, this company they were looking for an existing facility fortunately we had one here in the community that was on the market. So there going to take that facility do some renovations to it and it will be up taking applications from folks in March,” said Kyle Spurgeon, CEO for the Greater Jackson Chamber.

The new facility will be located at 89 Premier Drive in Jackson.
