Margaret Johnson

Margaret Ann Johnson, age 72, resident of Memphis, Tennessee, departed this life Tuesday evening, December 17, 2024 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.

Margaret was born April 17, 1952 in Memphis, the daughter of the late Sam W. Johnson, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Shilling Johnson. She was a first class girl scout in earlier years and was employed as a graphic design artist for many years before her retirement. Margaret enjoyed ceramics, pottery, stained glass and working with potted plants. She will be remembered for being a very artistic person who loved her family.

Miss Johnson is survived by two brothers, David Johnson and Sam Wright Johnson, Jr. (Colleen); four cousins, Yuvette Smith, Terry Jenson, Harry Johnson III (Patty) and Janet Johnson Turpin (Tom); and four second cousins, McKenzie Burleson, Kelly Evans, Mary Kate Renaudin and Lauren Monjeau.

A visitation for Miss Johnson will be from 2 to 3 P.M. Sunday, December 22, 2024 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Funeral Services will be at 3 P.M. Sunday, December 22, 2024 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Don Brooks officiating. Interment will follow in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64.
