Companion Pet Rescue host ‘Holiday Hop Foster Swap’
JACKSON, Tenn.—One organization is all paws on deck to deliver some Christmas cheer.
Companion Pet Rescue and Transport of West TN held its “Holiday Hop Foster Swap” Sunday.
The event was set up to not only give the community some much needed holiday fur-baby time but to also highlight some of the pups available for adoption.
CPR volunteers rounded up the foster dogs and hit the town visiting various dog friendly locations including stores like PetSmart, and Tractor Supply Company.
Organizers hope the event helps the dogs to feel more comfortable out in the community and also gain some much needed exposure.
It also allows for the organization to share more information about the dogs, how to adopt, and other ways to help out.
“What we do in rescue as fosters is just take dogs and we love on them and we give them a safe place to heal and then we adopt them out. We have a lot of adopters in the northeast, so we don’t primarily have as many dogs locally just because we need more adopters down here,” said Danielle Hardee, Vice President of Companion Pet Rescue.
CPR has been rescuing dogs throughout the area for the past 20 years.
