JACKSON, Tenn. — One family is asking for your help to locate their loved one.

Ronald Leslie Dumas Jr. has been reported missing in Huntsville, Alabama. As of now it is unsure what he was last wearing.

Police say his ex-wife was his last person to talk to him, and while on the phone she shared that he did not sound like he was in danger while on the phone. The two spoke on Sunday, December 15.

“We know that he was out socializing with some friends on the 15th” said Sgt. Chris Jackson with the Huntsville Police Department. “However, we don’t know who those people are, the family doesn’t know who they are either.”

According to police, on Monday, December 16, the Tennessee Highway Patrol impounded Dumas’ vehicle at mile marker 133, which is just outside of Camden.

“He was traveling on I-40 and his vehicle experienced some type of car trouble. I believe its a type of broken transmission,” Jackson said.

This was also the last time that his phone had his location according to HPD.

On Tuesday, December 17, Dumas was reported missing and was entered into the NCIC.

“It showed on the 16th that he continued traveling, or his phone continued traveling, and was turned off a about a little after 7 o’clock in the morning just outside of Jackson, Tennessee,” Jackson said.

As of now, the Huntsville Police Department is trying to track his last location in Alabama, according to HPD.

“We are under the assumption that either a motorist noticed his car broke down, saw that he was broke down and helped him gave him a ride, or someone was following him and his car broke down and he hopped in their car,” said Jackson.

HPD shares there is not any physical evidence to assume he was in danger.
