2024 AKC National Championship to air December 29

ORLANDO, FLA — If you’re a dog lover, you don’t want to miss the ‘paw-formance’ of the year: The 2024 American Kennel Club National Championship.

The event, which was held earlier this December at Orlando’s Orange County Convention Center, will be broadcast on December 29.

More than 5,600 dogs competed to be crowned America’s national champion. All 50 states are represented, and more than 30 foreign countries. $50,000 goes to the best in show prize.

“The final show dogs and the best in show ring are just incredible, one more beautiful than the next and it was a very deserving champion but they’re all so remarkable,” said Carolyn Manno, AKC Championship show host.

The national championship is the only all-breed dog show organized and presented directly by the AKC, the nation’s oldest and only not-for-profit pure-bred dog registry.

Catch the show on ABC this Sunday, December 29 at 1 p.m.
