Kick off the new year with these events happening across West Tennessee

JACKSON, Tenn. — It’s a time for celebrations as many people across the region prepare to ring in the new year.

Most will be spending their time bringing in the holiday with friends and family, so we are giving you a look at some New Year’s Eve parties happening around West Tennessee.

As many are preparing to bring in the new year, Ritz Magic Wheels here in the Hub City will be skating their way towards their Jr. New Year’s Eve Balloon Drop celebration from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, located at 1112 U.S. 45 Bypass. This occasion is recommended for ages 12 and under, starting tickets online at $9.99 and $18 dollars at the door.

“Of course the balloon drops, and in the balloons we do have prizes — gifts and prizes to give away. We’re having two of them for the little ones during the day time and then at night we are going to bring new years with the teenagers,” said Natasha Jarrett, location manager.

Another event happening here in the Hub City will be held at the Elks Lodge located at 28 Executive Drive in Madison Square Office Park. Tickets are $40 for entry and doors will open at 6 p.m.

Special discounted rates are available at the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel.

“We will have dinner roughly around 6:30 and then at 7:30 we have music starting will magi which is a local area band and it will go on until about 12:30 or so,” said Wayne Woods, president of Elk Lodge.

The Pine Tree Country Club in Henderson is also hosting their New Year’s Eve Masquerade Ball with tickets on sale to reserve on eventbrite.com, then $30 at the door for members and $40 at the door for nonmembers. This event is located at 15440 U.S. 412 in Lexington.

“We’re going to start at about 9 p.m. and we’re going to go until about one in the morning. We’ll have a DJ here. The ticket price will also include the charcutier table then your champagne toast at midnight. A portion of all of our proceeds is going to be going to the Francis Henley Animal Shelter. I’m a very big supporter of animals so I definitely want to help them as much as I can. You can also bring a need item for them which will also get you a voucher for a drink for the night,” said Opal Azbill, coordinator for Pine Tree Country Club.
