Road rage incident leads to shots fired in Martin
PRESS RELEASE FROM THE MARTIN POLICE DEPARTMENT:
MARTIN, Tenn. — [Press release from Chief Phillip Fuqua, Martin Police Department]
On the evening of December 31, 2024 at approx. 10:38pm, officers responded to the area of Burchard St. and East Hill St. in regards to shots being possibly fired.
When officers made contact with the complainant, she stated that a road rage type incident had occurred and that the other driver had caused her to hit the rear end of their vehicle.
She advised that after this crash, the driver of the other vehicle fired several shots from a gun out of the vehicle window while she was following the vehicle.
The driver of the other vehicle involved has been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
No charges have been filed at the time of this release.
