UPDATE (1/6/25): Suspect identified in fatal shooting at Red Dog Saloon
JACKSON, Tenn.—JPD issues statement on Saturday’s shooting at Becky’s Red Dog in south Jackson.
The following is a news release from the Jackson Police Department in response to the shooting incident that occurred early Saturday morning.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
“On January 4, 2025, at 2:31 a.m., officers with the Jackson Police Department were dispatched to 1450 S. Highland (Becky’s Red Dog) following reports of a shooting incident. Upon the officers arrival, they found a man in the doorway of the establishment suffering from a gunshot wound. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene. During the initial investigation, officers spoke with witnesses who provided information regarding a potential suspect. Subsequently, deputies from the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department located the suspect’s vehicle, leading to his arrest. This case is still under investigation, and anyone with information is urged to reach out to the Jackson Police Department at 731.425.8400.”
