theLOCAL holds interest meeting, tenant applications now available

JACKSON, Tenn. — Applications are now open for theLOCAL, downtown Jackson’s micro-retail development, designed for creative and motivated entrepreneurs.

Applications end on January 31. Interviews will be scheduled for February 3 and last till February 7 with anticipated lease date of April 1.

Earlier Thursday, they had a meeting with past and present tenants to discuss the future of Jackson and to share their stories to help encourage residents to apply.

“We have several folks on the panel. We have a current tenet that’s at theLOCAL from sprinkle me sugar and we have a former tenet from the 906 to talk about what they’ve learned and advice they would give and then I’m here are kind of the landlord to answer questions as well,” said Beth Ann Simpson, director of downtown development.

This meeting took place at theCO, which is located at 541 Wiley Parker Road Suite S in north Jackson.
