Snow Out Tonight, Cold Sticking Around into Next Week!
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update:
We are still tracking some snow coming down, most of it in our northern counties late this afternoon. The snow will taper off after sunset and maybe a few flurries sticking around later tonight. Additional accumulations will be minimal for most of us this evening. Temperatures will fall down to the mid 20s tonight and reach the mid 30s Saturday. More snow will melt on Sunday with temperatures making it up close to 40°. Catch the latest on snow totals and forecast right here.

Temperatures will remain cold all week and weekend long and likely into next week as well here in West Tennessee. Please remember to leave your pipes dripping if you have had plumbing issues in the past. Please bring in your pets and do not leave them outside. Please bundle up in winter gear, hats and gloves and winter coats if you are heading out or sending the little ones out for any reason! The main roads are not too bad but still look out for some slick and icy spots. The back roads will keep snow on them through the weekend.

THE WEEKEND:
The snow coming in on Friday is forecast to move out by the time the sun comes up on Saturday. But it will be too cold Saturday to melt any of the snow that we will be receiving on Friday. Highs on Saturday will reach the mid 30s but we should warm to the upper 30s to near 40° on Sunday that could lead to some of the snow telling to begin to melt. Both weekend nights we are expecting the overnight temperatures to again fall into the low to mid 20s. The clouds will likely hang around most of the day on Saturday before clearing out Saturday night into the day on Sunday. The winds will come out of the west on Saturday as the system moves out and try to turn to the southwest on Sunday before the next front comes in early next week! Highs next week will only reach the upper 30s with morning lows hanging around the upper teens to the mid 20s. Stay warm folks!
