James Lynn Rambo

James Lynn Rambo, 72, of Union City passed away Thursday, January 9, 2025, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Charles Southerland will officiate. Burial will follow in Fremont Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Tuesday.

James was born May 21, 1952, in Troy, son of the late James “Bill” and Margie (Sylvis) Rambo. He married Shirley (Manns) Rambo August 14, 1971. James served in the United States Army in Germany from 1972 to 1974. He had been employed at Union City Coca Cola for 14 years and retired from the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company after 21 years of service. James was a charter member of Forrest Escort Gun Club a part of The North-South Skirmish Association.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years Shirley Rambo of Union City; two children, Brandy Chandler of Union City and Jamie Rambo and wife Brandy of Bradford; four grandchildren, Reece Chandler and Ainsley Chandler both of Union City and Harvey Rambo and Rory Rambo both of Bradford; three sisters, Margaret Kimbro and Louise Yates both of Hickman, Kentucky and Susie Rambo of South Fulton; and one brother, Joe Rambo and wife Nettie of Union City.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Donald Rambo.
