Lane College addresses alleged campus assault

JACKSON, Tenn. — After a viral Facebook post was shared regarding an alleged assault on Lane College’s campus, we reached out to college leaders for more information.

On January 12, 2025, one local man shared his story on Facebook after allegedly being assaulted both physically and sexually. He shared that some students gathered and planned the attack prior to it happening.

We spoke with leaders from Lane College who shared this statement:

Lane College is aware of the incident that occurred on campus on October 3, 2024, involving an individual not affiliated with the College. Upon notification, the institution promptly conducted an investigation in accordance with established College policies and procedures. Following the investigation, all identified Lane College students found responsible for violating any College policy were held accountable.
