JPD implements Blue Impact, aims to create safer environment for residents

JACKSON, Tenn. — The daily mission for the officers of the Jackson Police Department is to actively work toward improving the quality of life for all citizens of Jackson.

Each day, Jackson Police are deliberate and focused in their efforts to address and reduce problems that are associated with criminal activity. Effectively immediately, Jackson Police will enhance their daily enforcement activities by implementing “Blue Impact.”

Blue Impact is a multi-faceted operation designed to focus on specific criminal behavior. The effort of Blue Impact is to identify, locate, and apprehend offenders thereby improving quality of life concerns. The Blue Impact effort also involves working collaboratively with our state and federal allies as well as our judicial allies in seeking prosecution.

The ultimate goal of Blue Impact is to create a safer environment for all residents in the City of Jackson.
