Madison County mayor shares upcoming plans during rotary club meting

JACKSON, Tenn. — One local mayor spoke at the Jackson Rotary Club Wednesday afternoon to share his upcoming goals for 2025.

Madison County Mayor AJ Massey shared his 2025 plans for Madison County residents and leaders.

This year his theme is to “Press on” which he shared was one of his favorite bible scriptures. One goal is to bring road improvements to the county with a $12 million budget.

Another plan is to reconstruct the Madison County Codes Department, and along with that, looking into fixing the juvenile detention center.

“We want entertainment opportunities, we want quality of life improvements, so we’re putting money into our parks department. We’re putting money in things that are going to help improve quality of life for young families in the county. So stay tuned, things are changing and developing fast. But if you need something, if you want something, let us know, we’ll see if we can incorporate it,” said Mayor Massey.

Mayor Massey also shared that 2024 was a great year for Madison County.
