Contestants compete in 2025 Berry Idol Prelims

HUMBOLDT, Tenn.—Performers line up to compete in the 2025 Berry Idol Preliminaries.

The Berry Idol Preliminary competition was held Sunday beginning at 1 in the afternoon at Magnolia Manor in Humboldt.

Contestants ages 10 to 21-years-old were invited to compete for one of 15 spots available in the final competition.

The finals will take place as part of the 87th West TN Strawberry Festival in May. 

Entries to the contest include solo or duo vocalists with a maximum 3 minute performance.

Contestants could also provide an instrumental background track to accompany their performances.

Entry fees for the contest are $40 for solo and $50 for duets.

“The winner will get to go to the Mid South Fair competition which is pretty amazing and we have $850 in prize money up for grabs,” said Mitzie Privitt, President of the 87th West TN Strawberry Festival.

The finals competition will be held May 6 at Magnolia Manor at 6 in the evening.
