‘Newsies Jr.’ coming to Williams Auditorium in Henderson

HENDERSON, Tenn. — One local theater is getting ready to seize the day.

The Chester County Youth Theater will be performing the Disney musical ‘Newsies Jr.’ at the Williams Auditorium in Henderson. You can catch the witty play Friday, January 31 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, February 1 at 4 p.m.

This family-friendly experience is a 60-minute play based on the 1992 original Broadway musical released by Disney titled: ‘Newsies.’

“So this is based off of a real life story of these kids that were called the Newsies that had a strike in 1899, so it’s really fun to see our kids reenacting real life history with kids around the same age that they are,” said Becky Hartle, director.
