Local church to host community prayer meeting Feb. 7
JACKSON, Tenn. — One Hub City church will be hosting a prayer meeting on February 7 at 7 p.m.
Hosted by Poplar Heights Church, officials say the meeting is being held in regard to the violence that has been surrounding the Hub City community.
Poplar Heights Church is asking all churches in the area to join together, making clear that anyone is welcome to this cross denominational event. Pastor Richard Bragg of Poplar Heights shares that a community often knows what a church stands against and that this meeting is an opportunity for churches to show what they stand for.
“We’re in favor of Jackson, we’re in favor of peace, we’re in favor of the family, we’re in favor of our children and, so, we believe prayer is a powerful thing and something we can do to help our community and show that we care and so that’s what we’re trying to do,” said Pastor Bragg.
Poplar Heights Church is located at 1980 Hollywood Drive in Jackson.
