Citywide prayer gathering planned for Feb. 2

JACKSON, Tenn.—A citywide prayer gathering set for this weekend.

In the wake of the recent wave of violence in the city, Vice Mayor Johnny Dodd and leaders in the faith community are calling for a time of prayer in the City of Jackson.

Leaders are asking the community to gather at City Hall for the afternoon as a time of prayer and reflection, to mourn the lost lives, seek guidance on the path forward, and ask protection over our city.

Dodd says there is no agenda and all are welcome to come on one accord to pray for our city.
