Local church gives back to community through mobile food pantry

JACKSON, Tenn. — A local church is giving back to the community here in the Hub City.

Destiny Church of Jackson is distributing their mobile food pantry located at 636 Wallace Road. The mobile pantry is free and open to all residents providing 3 food vouchers per car.

‘All Things Family’ volunteers serve more than 400 families twice each month to help alleviate food insecurity throughout Jackson. They contribute milk, eggs and bread along with hygiene and health necessities. Destiny Church aspires to change lives and give hope to future generations.

Their mission is to move the city forward with community, faith and family.

“We’re feeding many communities. We’re families as well as reaching out to our communities. We’re making sure that every person is touched. Many times when we’re out here giving out food you have people that are like, you know — ‘I didn’t know how I was going to feed my family, how I was going to feed them for the rest of the month’ and they’re just so thankful. Every person has to know about the heart of Jesus and the mind of Christ and that’s our mission here at Destiny Church of Jackson,” said Dr. Jessica Clements with Destiny Church.
