Warmer Again Saturday with Evening Showers, Winter is Back Next Week!
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update:
Another quick change is coming in for our Saturday. The stalled out front will again lift to the north as warm front tonight bringing one more round of 70s back before winter finally takes over for a few days. The next cold front will pass Saturday evening bringing some rain showers and maybe a few rumbles of thunder with it. After being well above normal for the last 11 days, below normal weather will return for next week. There is another winter storm coming next week too but as of now, we are only expecting a cold rain for most of us, but it is going to be close. Catch the latest forecast details right here.

THIS WEEK:
Thursday was a warm and humid day with temperatures reaching the mid 70s. The record on Thursday is 74° and fell a little short. We also saw a mostly cloudy day and there were some early day showers and weak storms again along the stalled out front in the morning. The front again pushed through in the evening hours cooling us down a bit into the day on Friday. Thursday night lows will fell back into the upper 40s as the front moved back through by Friday morning.

The winds will changed again back to the northeast on Friday as most of West Tennessee was sitting north of the stalled out front. Friday highs only reached the low 50s and there again could be a few showers as the front will lift back through Friday night making for a very warm and humid start to our weekend. Friday night lows will fall down to the upper 40s. The clouds stuck around most of the day on Friday and will be thick and last into the weekend.

THE WEEKEND:
The warmest weather since the beginning of November could be returning on Saturday and we could be close to setting more high temperature records. The record on Saturday is 77° and we will likely fall just short. Highs could hit the mid 70s for some of us on Saturday before a late night front will usher in a return of winter on Sunday that will likely last into most of next week. There will be some showers and storms late on Saturday that will last into the day on Sunday. Some of the storms could be strong but we are not quite sure about the severe weather threat yet but it is something we are going to be watching closely over the weekend.

Expect the clouds to stick around most of the weekend. The winds will come out of the southwest on Saturday but turn back to the north on Sunday behind Saturday night’s cold front. Saturday night lows will drop to the low 40s, Sunday highs will only make it up to around 50° and Sunday night lows will fall all the way down to the low to mid 30s. Winter is coming back next week and we cannot rule out a chance for some ice or snow as well but it is too early to make any forecast with confidence in that as of now.
