Rain Moves In After Dinner Tonight
Weather Update: Monday, February 10 —
Mostly sunny skies going into this afternoon. Temps are very slowly climbing through the mid 40s, we should still peak around 50s by 2-4 PM. In the short term, continental sub-arctic high pressure centered near Cincinnati, Ohio will manage to stave off clouds and rain for a few more hours. To the west and north there are two shortwave troughs traversing split flow within a zonal regime. The two are starting to interact over Kansas/Oklahoma which will ultimately lead to the increasing clouds and eventually a miserable and soaking cold rain. Latest guidance indicates at least sprinkles by as early as 6:00 PM, but the bulk of the steadier rain will increase in areal coverage and intensity through tonight as a steady moderate rain.
