Henderson police officers recognized, honored with annual police department’s Life-saving Award
HENDERSON, Tenn.–Leaders from one local town meet to discuss some important issues.
The mayor and aldermen from the City of Henderson met for their regular monthly meeting Thursday evening.
Leaders discussed many important items on their agenda.
However, one major highlights of the meeting was the Henderson Police Department’s Life Saving Awards.
Nine police officers with the Henderson Police Department were recognized for their outstanding achievement in conducting life-saving efforts to city residents during the past year.
“The officers that we hire, 99 percent of them say they get into this line of work to help people. And it’s not always taking the bad guy to jail or that type of stuff. It is saving lives and that’s what they do everyday and I really appreciate them,” said Police Chief Gary Davidson with the Henderson Police Department.
Chief Davidson says he recently suffered a heart attack and is especially thankful for the life-saving efforts of all first responders.
