David Darryl Mathias

David Darryl Mathias, age 62 of Jackson, Tennessee, passed away on February 11, 2025.

David was born in Jackson, Tennessee on March 31, 1962. A dedicated American patriot, David proudly served his country as a United States Marine. He continued his career as a maintenance technician for a local housing complex, serving as both a repairman and neighborhood safety advocate for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion Mathias and Nell Suddeth Mathias, and his son, William Mathias. He is survived by his son, Matthew Mathias (Rebecca); his loving companion, Cindy Tomas; and his brothers, Jimmy and Johnny Mathias.

A graveside service to celebrate David’s life will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Beech Bluff Cemetery in Madison County, Tennessee.

David will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for his strength, bravery, and kindness. Fiercely loyal to his family, friends, and those he served, he remains an exemplar of the Marine Corps values of honor, courage, and commitment.
