Storms tear through Bradford leaving downed trees and damaged homes
BRADFORD, Tenn.–Bradford was one of the areas hardest areas hit by the strong line of storms that made its way through West TN.
Storms with high winds powered through leaving damage and devastation in its tracks.
In the area of Pisgah Road, one home was even knocked off its foundation. Others had significant roof damage, downed power lines and scattered debris.
We spoke to the homeowners Dewayne and Kim Allen who are thankful to have made it through unharmed.
“It hit fast we had barely gotten cover. Thank goodness it didn’t last long but it seem like it lasted for a lifetime. We didn’t feel anything because like I said, we were hunkered down in that small bathroom right there. ‘Had you ever been in anything like this before?’ Nope first time,” Allen said.
A storm surveying team from the National Weather Service was in the area around Bradford, Trenton, and Milan evaluating the damages.
Those findings will determine whether the damage was indeed caused by a tornado.
Preliminary findings from the organization have categorized it as an EF-2 tornado.
