Trenton home damaged by fallen tree

TRENTON, Tenn.— Homes in Trenton were also damaged in the Saturday’s storms and straight-line winds.

One family home located on Thetford Street was badly damaged by high winds when a tree came down on the roof.

The homeowner said they could hear the wind roaring and heard on the news a tornado was a street over.

That was followed by a loud boom.

“We went to the bathroom and we weren’t in there three minutes and we heard this loud boom. We came out and saw that the tree had fell. Basically its pierced the room and into the living room,” said Diane Cobern, storm victim, homeowner.

Thankfully, the family survived the event unharmed with only the damages to repair.

Cobern says she recently had four other trees removed from the property.

She estimates the one that hit their home was at least one hundred fifty years old.
