AARP is celebrating Black History Month with life-changing wishes
JACKSON, Tenn. — ‘Wish of a Lifetime’ from AARP is granting meaningful wishes to older adults and celebrating their stories and lifelong contributions.
This Black History Month, the organization is spotlighting inspiring wish recipients who have broken barriers and paved the way for future generations. Through its impactful work, Wish of a Lifetime not only fulfills life-changing wishes but also raises awareness about social isolation, a challenge that disproportionately affects black seniors.
These inspiring wishes align perfectly with Black History Month, offering a meaningful opportunity to celebrate the contributions and legacies of older black adults.
“So it not only has a great impact on that individual, but also helps inspire others to live joyfully and choose how they age,” said Natasha Hartsfield, southeast regional manager for AARP.
By sharing these stories, we can shine a light on their resilience and the lasting impact they’ve had on their communities. To learn more about Wish of a Lifetime, click here.
