Building resilience in children through reading

JACKSON, Tenn. — February is ‘I Love to Read’ month. It’s a month-long celebration that is held each year to encourage reading, celebrating authors and books and sharing the joy of literacy.

Reading can help boost your child’s health and resilience. From the author of ‘The Doughnut Fix’ and the sequel ‘The Doughnut King’ comes another funny, heartfelt book titled, ‘All the Ways to Go’ about overcoming the fear of letting down the people you love and the amazing things that can come from a summer of nothing going your way.

The book All the Ways to Go is for middle school aged children and for parents and families to enjoy.

“Helping kids, you know, whether it’s a read-aloud or they are reading on their own, to exercise their imaginations so that when they find themselves in a difficult spot, they have an ability to problem-solve: ‘Hey I could do this and this might be an outcome, [and] I could this and this might be an outcome,'” said Jessie Janowitz, award-winning author.

All the Ways to Go is available at retailers and online including at Barnes & Noble and at Amazon.
