Planning your next getaway? Look to the beach
JACKSON, Tenn. — With the cold weather continuing, you may be thinking about a warm vacation.
With spring break right around the corner and summer break to follow, many people are looking to plan their next vacation. It is never to early to start looking. You may want to get to a warmer climate to change the pace from all of this cold weather.
“If you’ve been to a place like this you know that it’s a wonderful way to disconnect and unplug from sort of your day to day reality. Go to the beaches where temperatures tend to be a little bit milder. You also have plenty of available rooms if you want a bit of seclusion and space between you and the traveler next to you. Beach getaways certainly provide that,” said Gabe Sagile, travel expert.
Of course many people in our area love heading to Gulf Shores and Orange Beach in Alabama. However, there are plenty of other options that may be a little bit farther away like southern Florida.
“This is peak season for this part of the country. So you’ll see pricing sort of peak between now and may as we head to latter part of the spring into the summer. So you’ll see a bigger value factor,” said Sagile.
While it is never too early to start booking, it can certainly be too late. You may miss out on some great deals or better prices if you hold back.
“The sooner you book your airfare, the better because demand is at its peak. Pricing will also be at its peak. I’m thinking you may want to plan a late spring early summer getaway. Maybe start getting that booked right now,” said Sagile.
Of course, no matter where you go, the most important thing is to make sure you have fun and spend time with special people.
For the Jackson-Madison County School System, spring break is March 17-21.
