Community gathers to watch documentary about Huntingdon athlete
HUNTINGDON, Tenn. — One local community gathers to celebrate athlete Hunter Ensley by hosting a watch party for his new documentary.
The documentary created by Land Grant Films and the UT School of Journalism and media details the story of Tennessee baseball outfielder Hunter Ensley.
Titled “Hunter,” the documentary follows Ensley’s journey from his humble beginnings in Alaska and the small town of Huntingdon in West Tennessee to the bright lights of college baseball’s biggest stage at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
“Hunter’s story — I didn’t know really, I knew obviously that he was a really great athlete but I didn’t really know his backstory. So learning more about his dynamic and the things he had to face to get over to really be where he’s at was great,” said Sydnie Ailey, co-line producer.
