“I would like to say that I thank my EMS ambulance service family for this award. The great state of Tennessee for the award, and above and beyond my family for their love and support and their sacrifice for allowing me to do for others,” said Billy.
His daughter, Kaylee, has served alongside him and shares some kind words for her dad.
“Heart tugging on our strings to see him that he was that devoted to citizens of the county. It’s very heartwarming to see some of those citizens to come back now and thank him for what’s he’s done for them. As well as being a first responder for the team, it’s been extremely phenomenal work, working side by side with him on some of the calls and seeing just hands on — how dedicated he truly he is,” said Kaylee.
Powell also mentioned that Billy gives his heart into the community he serves.
“Congratulations, I think he, you know, deserves this recognition he ought to be proud of what he accomplished in his life. I’m proud to be his director and hope he continues to put his best foot forward and strive for excellence,” said Powell.
Many other friends and members of the community shared their thanks to Prescott as well. Mayors from Bells, Alamo, Maury City, Friendship, Gadsden, and Crockett County all signed a proclamation declaring today as ‘Billy Prescott Day.’
