Community Foundation hosts meeting about funding opportunities

JACKSON, Tenn. — Are you making an impact in your community? If so, check this out.

The Community Foundation of West Tennessee hosted a meeting to learn about funding opportunities for nonprofits in the area. At the meeting, the foundation went over expectations such as eligibility requirements and application guidelines.

Community Impact Manager Haley Fortune gave some extra insight for nonprofits serving Benton County.

“During our charity gala, which is our annual event that we have in November, we had a generous donation come in of $20,000 for our community impact grants and it is designated to support residents in Benton County,” said Haley Fortune, community impact manager for the Community Foundation of West Tennessee.

Since its inception, the program has raised $336,000.
