Collision in Chester Co. requires lifeflight, causes power outage

CHESTER CO., Tenn.— A vehicle collision in Chester county leads to power outages and an air evac Saturday evening.

WBBJ-7 Eyewitness News tipsters notified us of a heavy police presence on Highway 100 near Jacks Creek, also indicating it appeared to be a terrible vehicle accident.

When our crews arrived a Vanderbilt Lifeflight was the EMS air ambulance on scene.

The collision appeared to involve a box truck and a pick up truck.

Witnesses tells us residents near the crash have lost power and one dog has died as a result of the accident.

“I was headed home and I seen the two vehicles collide and my instinct kicked in just to help, so I pulled over and jumped out of the truck and tried to assist as I could,” said Ricky Greene, collision witness.

Further details, including the status of the vehicle occupants is unknown at this time.
