West TN Scouting Council presents ‘Sneakin’ Out for Scouting’ gala
The West Tennessee Area Council of Scouting America kicks off their inaugural ‘Sneakin’ Out For Scouting’ gala.
The Sneaker gala takes place in downtown Jackson at the Carl Perkins Civic Center Saturday night.
Ten community leader ambassadors agreed to raise money to help support scouting initiatives, along with wearing their personalized sneakers for the shoe voting contest.
The funds assist with camp renovations and programing for 20 counties in West Tennessee.
Guests could enjoy a cocktail hour and sneaker fashion show.
“The people that are here tonight will be voting, as far as who has the best sneakers and whichever ambassador raises the most money, and gets the most votes will be going home with the golden sneaker trophy tonight,” said Madaline Hudson, VP of Fund Development, West TN Area Council of Scouting America.
The night includes dinner, a silent auction, and also a photo booth.
