Two juveniles arrested following drive-by shooting
PRESS RELEASE FROM THE CROCKETT COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT:
SHOTS FIRED IN FRIENDSHIP: TWO JUVENILES IN CUSTODY
FRIENDSHIP, TN [March 2, 2025] – In the early morning hours of March 1, 2025, the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department responded to multiple reports of gunfire within the city limits of Friendship. Law enforcement units were dispatched immediately to where shots were reported in an apparent drive-by shooting at more than one location.
Upon arrival, CCSD deputies, along with Bells and Gadsden Police, secured the area, collected evidence such as a weapon and spent casings, and conducted a thorough investigation. Thanks to the swift actions of all the law enforcement officers, the CCSD Criminal Investigation Division, and the cooperation of the community, two juvenile shooters have been identified and are now in custody.
Both juvenile suspects will be facing charges in juvenile court. Please note that unless and until the court moves the cases to adult court or the charges change, the identities of the juveniles will be withheld in accordance with applicable laws.
Fortunately, there were no reported injuries to citizens or law enforcement officers during this event. The Crockett County Sheriff’s Department is committed to ensuring the safety and security of our community and will continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident.
