Brush fire destroys several acres in Madison County

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — Firefighters rushed to the scene of a brush fire that broke out near a local road.

Early Tuesday afternoon, tipsters informed us of a fire on Barnett Road, just off of Old Medina Road in northeast Madison County.

When our crews arrived to the scene they saw multiple fire trucks and a utility worker working on a power line.

No injuries were reported. The Madison County Fire Department says around 8 to 9 acres were burned.
