Jackson Clinic Baptist Campus now offering new pain management program
JACKSON, Tenn. — You do not need to go far to receive incredible care as we have some of the best options here in West Tennessee.
Baptist Memorial Health Care just recently started seeing patients at their new facility located in the southwest corner of the 45 Bypass and Passmore Lane. They have just now started a new pain program that provides some of the best care you can find.
“It is something that is great for our communities and something that many people in our community need just to get back to their everyday lives. They may have chronic pain and we can treat their pain without narcotics. We’re trying to get away from that narcotic use and present this in a different way,” said Brooke Milby, director of nursing with Baptist Memorial Health Care.
There are many different types of chronic pain that can be treated here. Neck pain, back pain, shoulder pain, knee pain and sciatic are some examples. They do this with a lot of innovative procedures.
“We have minimally invasive, and then we have something that no one else in West Tennessee has. It’s called COOLIEF. It is a radiofrequency ablation procedure. This really targets those nerves and makes a bigger lesion on those nerves where that minimizes the pain,” said Milby.
Milby also told us how you can receive some of these treatments if they could be beneficial for you.
“You do need a referral for our pain program. But you can call 868-8900 and that goes straight to our pain clinic. Andrew talks to everybody if they have questions. He is wonderful to be able to answer all of your questions,” said Milby.
Andrew Rice is the CRNA at the Jackson Clinic-Baptist outpatient campus. He says this can help provide pain relief and improved functionality for patients. Your primary care location can give you the referral for these treatments if they can help you.
