Milan Fire Department combats large house fire
MILAN, Tenn. — On Wednesday March 5, 2025 at approximately 8:21 a.m., the Milan Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire at 13105 Stinson Street.
Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy smoke coming from the rear of the home. Firefighters were advised that there were no people or pets still inside the home. Heavy winds quickly spread the flames causing the entire attic of the structure to become engulfed.
Firefighters used the Aerial Truck and handlines to control and extinguish the fire. Mutual aid assistance was received from the Gibson County Fire Department.
There were no injuries to any residents or firefighters at the incident. One resident was home at the time of the fire. The resident investigated a loud noise and found the fire and exited the home. The damage estimates were not available at the time of the press release. The fire cause is still under investigation. Due to the damage to the home, all the residents were displaced but had other living arrangements. No Red Cross assistance was needed.
