Warm Again on Friday, Next Front Though Coming Friday Night!
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update:

Right now at 9:30pm tonight is as cold as the weather is going to be over the next 7 days. As the night goes on, clouds will move in and the winds will start to come out of the southeast. That will keep temperatures steady or even allow them to climb a few degrees overnight. We will warm up nicely on Friday but the next front is on tap to move through Friday night cooling us down a bit for the weekend. The front will stall out and turn up stationary this weekend which could bring a round of showers late Saturday into Sunday morning (most in not all falling in our southern counties). Catch the latest forecast details including some mid 70s next week and possibly another round of storms, coming up here.

THIS WEEK:

Thursday started out a bit chilly below freezing but even with the northwest winds, highs only made it a little above 50°. We were dry on Thursday and Thursday night lows will fall down to the upper 30s. The winds will return to the southwest late overnight Thursday into the day on Friday. The next disturbance will look to move through late in the day on Friday. The timing and strength of that system is still being determined but as of now, it does not look to pack anywhere near the punch of Tuesday’s system. Those southwest winds will warm us up nicely on Friday into the mid to upper 60s and Friday night lows will drop down to the mid 40s. The next front should move through Friday night cooling things down a bit for the weekend.

THE WEEKEND:
The weekend will be a little cool across West Tennessee with highs in the mid 50s on Saturday before warming back up to around 70° on Sunday. There will be a few shower chances early in the day on Saturday and depending how far south the cold front gets before it stalls out will determine how long those showers will be sticking around for during the day and if they will move back through on Sunday or not. Right now, we are expecting a mostly dry day on Sunday, but if showers do pop up, they will likely stay in our southern counties. Saturday night lows will fall down to the mid 30s and Sunday night lows will only fall to the mid 40s. The reason it will be warmer Sunday night will be due to the change in the wind direction. Most of the weekend the winds will come out of the north, but sometime late Sunday night the winds will shift back to the southwest making for a warm start to next week as well!

Next week will warm up nicely reaching up to around 70° on Monday. The winds will come out of the west on Monday but back to the southwest on Tuesday and Wednesday warming us back up to the mid 70s. The week will start out sunny but clouds will move back in slowly late Tuesday into Wednesday. The next chance for showers and storms will be here on Wednesday, but as of now, the severe weather threat appears to be low but it is something we will need to monitor over the weekend as the forecast becomes more clear.
