Madison County Sheriff’s Office addresses pending litigation
PRESS RELEASE FROM THE MADISON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE:
MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — On or about March 4, 2025, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a lawsuit filed against it by California Gold Farms, LLC.

While the Sheriff’s Office respects the legal process, we will not be discussing specific details of the pending litigation on the advice of counsel.
However, to ensure transparency and address any confusion regarding certain claims made by California Gold Farms, LLC and its legal counsel, Litson PLLC, J. Alex Little of Nashville, Tennessee, we would like to clarify the following:
- Contrary to allegations, no evidence in this matter has been destroyed. As shown in the attached photographs, all evidence remains secured in a designated evidence vault.
- The contents of the secured materials remain undisturbed, with substances contained within their original vacuum-sealed packaging, as further evidenced by the attached images.
- The evidence was properly submitted to a state agency and was found to be illegal and not in compliance with the laws of the State of Tennessee.
- This remains an ongoing investigation involving California Gold Farms, LLC. Given the pending litigation, no further statements will be issued at this time unless authorized by legal counsel.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to upholding the law and ensuring the integrity of all legal proceedings.
