TRAFFIC ALERT: JPD says avoid area due to sinkhole

JACKSON, Tenn.— The Jackson Police Department reports a road closure on social media this afternoon due to a sinkhole.

According to a post shared on Facebook shortly before 1 p.m., residents are asked to avoid the area of Archwood North across from Parkway Middle School in Jackson following the discovery of a sinkhole.

The post indicates that the street department as well as JEA has been notified and are heading to that location. JPD also shares the following image of the sinkhole.
