Jackson Police respond to Flock Alert on stolen vehicle
PRESS RELEASE FROM THE JACKSON POLICE DEPARTMENT:
JACKSON, Tenn. — At approximately 1:55 pm, officers responded to a Flock Alert for a stolen vehicle in the area of N. Highland and Lane.
The vehicle, a 2016 White Chevy Silverado stolen from Jackson, TN, was attempted to be stopped by officers at N. Royal Street and Lane Ave. However, the vehicle sped off, leading officers on a pursuit through East Jackson, Hwy 70, and I-40.
The pursuit continued until the suspect vehicle crashed into a guard rail and wrecked at 7439 State Route 104 in Henderson County. The driver attempted to evade capture by fleeing into a wooded area but was apprehended by officers. Three other individuals were detained at the scene.
The driver will face charges of Felony Evading and Reckless Endangerment. One passenger was found in possession of Schedule VI and drug paraphernalia, while another passenger had an outstanding warrant from Texas for narcotic-related charges. The stolen vehicle was recovered.
