Players compete in ACO Regional Cornhole Tournament

BEECH BLUFF, Tenn.—A unique sports event happens right here in Madison County.

Players competed in the American Cornhole Organization’s Regional Cornhole Tournament Saturday.

The competition kicked off at 9 in the morning at the Recreation Center in Beech Bluff.

Admission fee was $5 and each division also incurred a separate $10 fee to compete.

The competition included play in several divisions including junior, senior, women, world singles, doubles, and coed doubles.

Cornhole players from all across the area participated in the event.

“They play on Tuesday nights regular and they run two divisions of competition for pros or if you feel like you got it you can come in and they run a social division just to have fun. It’s more than a hobby. I’m a professional in the American Cornhole Organization,” said Dustin Arant, member of the American Cornhole Organization.

A cash prize was awarded at the end of the day’s tournament.
